Best pizza in so cal, we commuted 90 miles just for there food! You can't compare this pizza to anything. Theres nothing like! Must try and its family owned and operated. If I could give a 10 star I would.

Birria pizza w delicious salsa and consume, garlic knotts, buffalo wings, arroz con leche, tres leches, michiladas, - every single thing was delicious and the service was amazing and welcoming. Restaurant was clean and fresh, air conditioned and good music playing. Will definitely come back again!

Food here was pretty good. We had the Gallo Borracho, mango chipotle, and Poland wings. The Gallo borracho were the best. Also we had a large pizza that was half Me Gustan Tus Piñas and half Cuernos. I would say they were both good but meat needed to be seasoned a little more and their spicy flavors need to be spicier. Also finished with some churros which were good.

Pizzeria El Jefe is too legit! Came here were my friend last night and they were playing Soda Stereo and Caifanes over the speaker system. The places in spacious, clean, and comfortable. We ordered and took a booth. Our order was a 1/2 Plumas + 1/2 La Vaca Flaca pizza, a Mexican salad, and Cajeta balls. Plumas is Mexican pollo asado, tomato, avocado, thinly sliced red onion, cilantro and poblana sauce. La Vaca Flaca is Mexican birria, topped with diced onion, fresh radish and cilantro. Both pizza styles were incredibly good! The birria was great with the consommé and red salsa. The Plumas was my friend’s favorite. It was a bit lighter, but avocado and poblano sauce on pizza? It was genius. The salad was decent, and the Cajeta balls were a nice dessert, though I think they’re probably better eaten hot + fresh. Overall, the flavors, the quality, the presentation, and the service were all top notch. We had a great time. I highly recommend Pizzeria El Jefe!

First time trying Mexican-style pizza and it did not disappoint me. I told the young gentleman who was taking the order that I was not familiar with their menu, and he patiently with so much passion went over the whole menu and helped me to choose one. The crust was delicious, with a perfect amount of red sauce and a generous amount of toppings. It even tasted better the day after. From now on it'll be my go-to pizza place in Chula Vista.
